Miss Brenda Aoko Otieno
Chairperson
Miss. Brenda is a professional physiotherapist. She is known for her generosity and readiness to offer a helping hand. Brenda has actively been involved in many community activities as a volunteer offering her services to the needy.

Fr. Evans Masakhalia, Pme
Founder
Fr. Evans’ commitment to supporting teenage mothers is a way of campaigning against teenage pregnancy while at the same time discouraging rejection and abandonment of teenage mothers. As one who was born of a teenage mother, Fr. Evans believes that teen mums deserve guidance, support and mentorship just like any other young person. It is from his burning desire to support teenage mothers that Benter Teenage Mothers’ CBO was born bearing the name of his late mother ‘Benter.’

Mr. Lucas Juma
Co-founder/ Secretary
Mr. Lucas Juma is a high school teacher and a holder of Bachelor of Education Arts. The hardships and his life story has persuaded him always to compassionately embrace the less fortunate in the society. He often goes beyond his comfort zone to listen and dialogue with others. He is passionate about freeing women from the cultural chains that oppress them.

Sr. Irene Auma
Co-founder/Treasurer
Sr. Irene Auma is known for her listening skills and patience. Her religious training especially in counseling has made her a gift to those who are desperate, hopeless, in depression or confusion. She is a Physiotherapist by profession, currently furthering her studies at AMREF International University in Kenya.

Mrs. Mary Nthenya
Vice Chairperson
Mary Nthenya has several years of experience in planning coordinating and implementing programs. Her interest in the young people and diverse experience and exposure in different continents enhances her competence in mentoring them into responsible citizens of dignity.

Miss Gladys Jeptoo Cherono
Legal representative
Miss. Gladys is the legal representative of Benter Teenage Mothers’ CBO. She is an advocate of the high court of Kenya, an arbitrator (MCIARB) and a certified mediator (MTI). As an advocate she has particular interest in community social economic rights of education, health, acceptable quality life and social security for all. She has a legal practice experience of over five years. She is current pursuing a Master’s degree in international law at Griffith University,Autralia.

Miss Alice Njambi
Member
Alice is appreciated for her determinationand focus. She is a goal-oriented person who once convinced of something pursues it wholeheartedly. She believes that all gender has an important role to play in the society and therefore, in her opinion no situation should sideline women in catching up with the society’s day to day business. She is currently working in England.
